Where you find high power engines, a desire to win at any cost, the possibility of injury from dangerous sports, and opportunity to display your masculinity and emerge victorious in competition, you find the alpha males, leaders of the pack. Failing that there's always karting where men compete against women and children...... |

OK so I guess most of the people that know me would already know that the Z would not have gone if I didn't have plans for something better. In this case they are.....correct! OK it is a change of direction for me going from a 2 seater sport car to well, am 8 seater SUV! But I'm loving every moment of it and really enjoying my driving now.

It was a sad weekend, a faithful fun friend of over 3 years passed into history. No ground clearance, no real luggage space, no glove compartment, just 2 seats... my original 350Z (no Tokyo Drift ripoff) was finally traded in for a different fun car. God I'm going to miss this beasty....

Futtsu is a small bird sanctury on a penninsula on the other side of Tokyo bay. Getting there is a good little journey too, travelling half way across Tokyo bay in a tunnel under the bay before rising up to a service area in the middle. The rest of the trip to the other side of the bay is via another of Japans big bridges.
I had newver heard of Futtsu before I got there. This was just one of those days were I clicked on the map in the car navigation and just went there. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a great bird sanctury there. And this is where one of my frustrations of the week came in. I had my camera bag but not the tripod. Suffering from camera shake I upped the iso to try and compensate by increasing shutter speed, but this just resulted in noise Next time will try and remember everything.
